Disclaimer
How we earn money, where our prices and perfume information come from, and what we can and cannot promise.
Last updated: 12 October 2026
1. We are independent and we do not sell perfume
Designer Perfume Fragrances is an editorial and discovery website. We have no stock, we take no payment for perfume, and we are not affiliated with any perfume brand. Every purchase happens on a retailer's own website under that retailer's terms, returns policy and customer service.
2. Affiliate and advertising disclosure
Some links on this site are affiliate links to South African retailers (for example Rio Perfumes and other stockists shown on perfume pages). If you click one and buy something, we may earn a small commission. You pay the same price either way. Affiliate relationships never change which perfumes we feature, the order sellers are shown in, or what we write about a scent.
This site also displays advertising served by Google AdSense. Advertisers do not see your personal information from us and do not influence our content. You can control advertising cookies from the Cookie Preferences link in the footer.
3. Prices and stock
Prices in rand are taken from each seller's listing at the time of our last check and are shown for comparison only. They can change at any time and may not include delivery. Stock pills such as "in stock" reflect what the seller's page said when we last looked, not a live feed. Always confirm on the retailer's page before buying.
4. How we describe perfumes
Notes, fragrance families and launch details come from brand information, seller listings and the wider fragrance community. Longevity and sillage are shown as reported ranges gathered from those sources, not from laboratory testing. Where Bibi has worn a scent herself, the page says so in her own words.
"Smells like", "dupe", "clone" and "inspired by" describe a similarity in scent profile as reported by the fragrance community and retailers. They are not claims made by, or endorsed by, the brand that makes the original perfume, and they do not mean the two products share a formula.
5. Authenticity
We list retailers that, to the best of our knowledge, sell genuine products, but we cannot inspect every bottle. If you are concerned about authenticity, buy from the brand's official South African distributor or a retailer that states it sources from one, and keep your proof of purchase.
6. Not medical advice
Perfume contains allergens. Nothing on this site is medical or dermatological advice. If you have sensitive skin, asthma or fragrance allergies, read the ingredient list on the product and patch-test a small amount first.
7. Corrections
If you find a wrong price, a wrong note, a dead link or a claim you believe is unfair, tell us. We correct errors as soon as we can and note material changes on the page.
