1. Who we are and what this site is

Designer Perfume Fragrances (designerperfumefragrances.co.za) is an independent South African information website run by Bibi Burness. We publish perfume information, guides, prices as listed by South African sellers, and tools such as the scent quiz, ScentID and the dupe finder.

We do not sell perfume. We do not hold stock, take payment for perfume, or ship products. When you follow a link to a retailer, your purchase is with that retailer under their terms.

2. Using the site

You may use the site for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy our guides, images or catalogue data in bulk, scrape the site, or republish our content without written permission. Short quotes with a link back to the source page are welcome.

You must be 18 or older to request a sample or submit content. By submitting a list, layering recipe or comment you confirm it is your own work and give us a non-exclusive licence to display it on the site with your chosen display name. We may edit or remove submissions that are offensive, misleading or promotional.

3. Prices, stock and retailer links

Prices are shown in South African rand as listed by the seller at the time we last checked them. They change often. Always confirm the price, size and availability on the retailer's own page before you buy.

Some retailer links are affiliate links. If you buy through one, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. This never changes the price you pay or the order in which we show sellers. See our Disclaimer for details.

4. Free samples

From time to time we offer a free 3 ml sample to readers who request one through the contact form. Samples are limited to one per person and household, are subject to availability, and are sent at our discretion. A request is not a guarantee. Samples are decants for personal evaluation only and are not for resale.

5. Accuracy and no professional advice

We work hard to keep the catalogue accurate, but notes, longevity, sillage and comparisons are drawn from brand information, seller listings and the fragrance community and are shown as reported. Fragrance is personal — the same scent can smell different on different skin. Nothing on this site is medical, dermatological or financial advice. If you have allergies or sensitive skin, read the product's ingredient list and patch-test first.

6. Intellectual property

Perfume names, brand names and product images belong to their respective owners and are used for identification and review purposes only. Our own text, layouts, tools and photography are © Designer Perfume Fragrances.

7. Liability

To the extent permitted by South African law, including the Consumer Protection Act, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site, from reliance on the information on it, or from a purchase made with a third-party retailer. The site is provided as is, and we may change or remove content and features at any time.

8. Governing law and changes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. We may update them from time to time; the date at the top shows the current version. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
