If you know Legend EDT and find it slightly too clean, too safe, too linear — Legend EDP is what you were looking for. The 2020 Eau de Parfum version takes the same violet leaf and bergamot opening and adds oakmoss and leather to the base, giving it a depth and longevity that the EDT simply can't match. The opening is recognisably Legend: violet leaf and bergamot, clean and citrus-bright. But as it dries down, the jasmine and magnolia heart adds a subtle florality, and then the oakmoss and leather base changes the register entirely — more complex, more sophisticated, more genuinely interesting than the original. Performance is solid for the category: moderate longevity with moderate sillage — appropriate for office wear and daytime, but with enough depth for evening use too. The equal day/night vote split on Fragrantica reflects its genuine versatility. At Edgars SA: 50ml R1,399 / 100ml R1,799 — both in stock June 2026 — excellent value entry point.
