Nishane has also issued Tuberóza X, a separate reinterpretation in its X collection created by the perfumer Dominique Ropion and built around an Indian tuberose absolute with violet and a lipstick accord. It is worth knowing about, because the two are frequently confused and they smell meaningfully different.
Wear it in the evening, in autumn, or on any occasion that calls for a flower rather than a fresh scent. White florals bloom hard in humidity, so on the KwaZulu-Natal coast in summer a light hand is essential, while in cooler air you can afford considerably more.
Performance is substantial. As an extrait de parfum it runs eight to ten hours with strong early projection, and tuberose is a persistent material, so it lingers on fabric well beyond that. Nishane offers a 15ml size, which is the sensible way to test a fragrance this assertive before committing to a full bottle, particularly if you have never worn a serious white floral before.
